Committees
There are currently five active UFCN committees, and participation is open to all UFCN members. The work of the committees contributes significantly to the communications systems, policies and procedures on campus. Meeting times/dates are scheduled by the individual committee chairs, and meetings are normally held monthly.
- UFCN Advisory Board
The board is made up of key communicators from across campus and representatives from University Relations. Their role is to provide guidance and oversight for the organization. - Chairs Committee
Made up of the five chairs of the active committees and the director of marketing from University Relations. Determines the projects each committee will address, and meets to insure coordination of projects across committees. - Marketing Communications Committee
Involved with communications that include a marketing component, such as strategic planning, awareness campaigns and advertising. - Web/Electronic Communications Committee
Concerned with all forms of electronic communications as they involve the university. - Internal Communications Committee
Concerned with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of communications, campus-wide. - Public Relations Committee
Charged with helping campus PR communicators become more effective through improved tools, processes and training programs. - Publications Committee
Focused on issues dealing with the vast array of printed materials and publications on campus. - Golden Gator Committee
The Golden Gator Committee serves to advance and promote the campus-wide Golden Gator communication awards competition. The committee oversees administration of contest qualifications, selection of judges and all other aspects of the awards program.
