Category Description
The Golden Gator will be awarded for the best overall excellence of individual print publications. All work must have been used for some institutional purpose, such as for an exhibition or advertising or for promotional purpose.
This category includes:
- Single-page publications
- Multi-page publications/folders
- Pamphlets and Brochures
Entry Instructions
- Submit a completed entry form
- Submit an abstract (no more than three pages)
- Do not mount entries on boards
- All brochures must have been published or displayed between November 1, 2007 to November 30, 2008.
- Email your abstract, a 50-word summary of your entry and a JPG or TIF image that represents your entry as instructed on the entry form.
Judging Panel Guidelines
The judges will review all entries and score them based on the categories below. The total maximum points a judge can assign an entry in this category is 100 points.
- Provides detailed and thoughtful answers on the abstract (10)
- Meets brochure’s objectives (15)
- Displays superior content, writing, editing, layout and design, and print quality (20)
- Demonstrates an understanding of the target audience (25)
- Makes careful use of budget (10)
- Shows creative use of available resources (10)
- Elicits results/response (10)
