Category Description
The Golden Gator will be awarded for overall excellence in web and interactive media. This category includes:
- Web sites
- Multimedia CD and DVDs
- Interactive multimedia displays for exhibits, kiosks, or special events
Note: All Web sites must be accessible to the public. Intranets and password-protected sites may be entered but only if passwords or mirror sites are provided.
Entry Instructions
- Submit a completed entry form.
- Submit an abstract (no more than three pages).
- Submit a URL for Web sites and a CD/DVD of interactive multi-media materials not available on the Internet.
- All entries must have been published and/or displayed between November 1, 2007 and November 30, 2008.
- Email your abstract, a 50-word summary of your entry and a JPG or TIF image that represents your entry as instructed on the entry form.
Judging Panel Guidelines
The judges will review all entries and score them based on the categories below. The total maximum points a judge can assign an entry in this category is 100 points.

- Reflects superior organization and navigation (20)
- Contains superior content, including useful and up-to-date information (20)
- Demonstrates innovation and creativity of design (20)
- Demonstrates an understanding of the target audience (10)
- Shows creative use of available resources (10)
- Elicits results and responses (10)
