FAQ
What should I include in my submission?
Prior to entry drop-off, e-mail the following to stewarts@ufl.edu, with the subject heading “Golden Gator Entry”:
- Abstract
- Entry Form
- Written Entry Summary (50 words or less)
- JPG or TIF image (to be used in the event that the entry is a gold or silver winner). For examples, see past winners.
All four above items should be a separate electronic document – to be sent in the same email. If all materials are not received as outlined above, the entry may be disqualified.
To accompany entry at drop-off:
- Print and staple a hard copy of both the entry form and abstract.
- Print and staple a second copy of both the entry form and abstract.
- Enclose relevant additional materials – for example: a 3-ring binder of up to 2” for the communication program category, etc.
If all materials are not received as outlined above, the entry may be disqualified. Materials will not be returned.

Can students enter?
Students can enter as part of the team who worked on a UF project/program. However, only UF faculty and staff can submit the entry. Students cannot enter class work or work done for clients other than UF.
Can outside consultants enter?
Consultants can enter as part of the team who worked on a UF project/program. However, only UF faculty and staff can submit the entry.
When are submissions due?
December 1

When will the winning entries be announced?
Award recipients will be and announced at the UFCN Annual Retreat.
Many of the abstracts ask for responses or results, what should I include?
This item was written open-ended, so that entrants could determine
how to interpret the success of the entry and the results and
responses the project or program
received. Results can be as general or specific as you deem
appropriate. However, you are encouraged to demonstrate the
project or program’s impact through the
results and responses.
How are entries judged?
Each category has unique judging criteria, which are listed on the category description page.
