Summer of Web
The Summer of Web 2008 is a half-day conference created to bring the UF Web community together to discuss some of the daily issues seen across the Web. Topics will include the Print to Web initiative, effective writing for the Web, evaluating analytics and the importance of Web standards.
Event speakers include:
- Gator alumnus Carl Smith, President of nGen Works
- UF University Relations Associate VP, Joe Hice
- Instructional designer Jennifer Smith of the Center for Instructional Technology & Training
- Developer Joe Spooner of UF Web Administration
Food and drinks will be provided, and there will be several prize drawings.
When & Where?
The event will be on Aug. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Emerson Alumni Hall Teaching Classroom. Breakfast and lunch will be served in the Warrington Room at Alumni Hall.
Who is attending?
This event is for Web professionals of all types. If you are someone who writes content, moves pixels, develops Web applications or falls anywhere in between, you're welcome to attend — just make sure you RSVP as spaces are limited. We will also be streaming the event online for those unable to attend in person.
